Global Collaboration
As for our college’s global focus, as of 2015,
we have formally created a Global Education Center which has its office and lounge located in the “Global Terrace.” This lounge is used to promote international exchange by hosting events to welcome students from abroad and by providing information and support for sending our students overseas.
Our “Student Ambassadors,” who are those who work most closely with visiting international students during their stay, use this room to hold meetings and plan events with our guests from overseas.
The Global Education Center actively encourages Akashi Kosen students to interact with international students, to participate in international internship opportunities and study abroad, to volunteer in overseas projects, and to present their research findings in international student-led meetings such as ISTS, the International Symposium on Technology for Sustainability.
