A ceremony was held to celebrate the Comprehensive Exchange Agreement between Akashi KOSEN and the Kaohsiung City Government Education Bureau in Taiwan.
On May 28, 2022, a ceremony was held online to celebrate the comprehensive exchange agreement between Akashi KOSEN and Kaohsiung City Government Education Bureau in Taiwan.
This ceremony was held as part of the "2022 Kaohsiung Education Festival-Transnational thematic exhibition-Dialogue with the world through architecture-" exhibition to commemorate the renewal of the Comprehensive Exchange Agreement to promote international exchange on February 24, 2022. At the signing ceremony, graduates of Kaohsiung Municipal Chung-Cheng Industrial High School gave a presentation on their past international exchange experiences at Akashi KOSEN. Moreover, students from Kaohsiung Municipal Chung-Cheng Industrial High School, Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung Industrial High School, and Kaohsiung Municipal Haiching Vocational High School of Technology and Commerce presented the results of the “Tearoom Design Online Workshop NIT Akashi 2021” held last year. The full-scale model of the tearoom they designed was made and displayed at the ceremony venue.
Finally, Mr. Masatoshi Tomita (President of Tomita Structural Design Office and Part-time Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, National Taiwan University), a graduate of our school's architecture department, gave a special lecture on wood structural architecture. In his lecture, he talked about his memories of his student days at Akashi KOSEN, and thankfully, he introduced Akashi KOSEN to Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
It was a wonderful ceremony that deepened the international exchange between Akashi KOSEN and the Kaohsiung City Government Education Bureau in Taiwan.
