ADMISSION POLICY FOR ANCT ANCT seeks entrance of students who can foster their dreams in a liberal environment and who have the motivation to cultivate their future. Especially students who (1) have an interest in engineering and strongly desire to serve as engineers in the future ÿ (2) have basic knowledge in many fields, and are good at science, mathematics, and English, and (3) have an interest in and can involve themselves in various experiments and practical training. 2.APPLICANTS ADMITTED In principle, a few students can be admitted as third-year students into each of the four departments. 3.QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must have foreign nationalities, and satisfy the following two requirements, i.e. the school education requirement and the science/Japanese language requirement. 1 School education requirement (One of two): (1) Those who have completed, or are scheduled to complete as of March 31,2008, twelve years of school education overseas. (2) Those recognized as having academic ability equivalent to twelve years of school education and those who are approved as equivalent as the above by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan. 2 One of the following two: (1) Those who took the subjects (necessary subjects are stipulated by ANCT) in the 2007 Examination for Japanese University Admission organized by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). (For the selection procedure refer to 6.1 subjects of this form ) (2) Those who passed the third level or above of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. 4.DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED (1) Application for Admission (<a href="h20gansho.pdf">form obtained from ANCT</a>) (2) For those presently residing in Japan, documents certifying the details recorded on Record of Foreign Registration. (3) Personal History (<a href="h20rirekisho.pdf">form obtained from ANCT</a>) (4) Certificate of graduation (or completion) or expectation of graduation (or completion). Also, transcript of the academic records of the applicant's latest school. (5) Certificate of Health (<a href="sinndannsho.pdf">form obtained from ANCT</a>) (6) Copy of the results of the science field of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students, or copy of your results of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (third level or above). (7) Entrance examination fee of 16,500 yen. 5.PERIOD OF APPLICATION From 8 January (Tuesday) through 11 January (Friday) , 2008. 6.SELECTION PROCEDURE Selection will be based on the following: (1) Results of the 2007 Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students.
